Notable Changes From the Previous Year

The 2024 Hyundai Elantra has received a new front-end exterior design, with new wheels and remodelled lighting. New exterior colours, such as Ultimate Red and Exotic Green, are also available. Rear seats now have a seatbelt reminder and side-impact airbags. New safety features across the lineup include lane keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind spot monitoring.

The entry-level model has a Smartstream 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with IVT (intelligent variable transmission). This engine also comes with an idle stop-and-go system. Standard features include cloth upholstery, heated front seats, air conditioning, and power windows with driver’s auto-down. 

There are two screens on the front panel: a 4.2-inch TFT instrument cluster and an 8-inch touchscreen display compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Upgraded features include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, proximity keyless entry, and SmartTrunk, a hands-free automatic opening system. Bluelink and interior ambient lighting are also available for this model. The Preferred adds new safety features, like a blind spot collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, and a safe exit warning.

Luxury

While the Luxury has the same standard powertrain as the previous models, there’s also an option for a more powerful 1.6-litre GDI four-cylinder hybrid engine. Optional features include a multi-link rear suspension and a six-speed EcoShift Dual Clutch transmission. 

The interior design has been upgraded with leatherette upholstery, a wireless charging pad and an eight-speaker BOSE audio system. It also has improved driving assists, like adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, electronic parking brakes, and a highway driving assist.

N Line Ultimate

The 1.6-litre GDI is standard for the flagship model, with a seven-speed Dual-Clutch transmission and paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel. It provides superior performance with sport-tuned steering and suspension. The luxurious interior design has black leather with premium clothing and red accents, Sports accents and red stitching. The 10.25-inch touchscreen display is also standard for this model, as are interior ambient lighting and BlueLink.
